The Conifers
The Conifers is a specialist based resource, registered to provide living accommodation and care for adults with learning disabilities.
The Conifers bungalow
The home is registered in Fordham with beautiful country views and peaceful surroundings. It is a large bungalow sited within a large garden with a heated swimming pool with patio and a BBQ area.
The bungalow is family size with six client bedrooms, four with en-suite facilities. There is a very spacious kitchen and dining room and a sitting room with French doors opening onto their own private garden.
Within our registered home environment, we plan to offer individually designed, independent flats in which clients can enjoy a unique and personal service built exclusively around their needs and wishes with as much or as little support required within the wider security and support offered by a fully staffed registered home.
The Conifers is staffed according to individual needs and is overseen by the Registered Manager, Gill Oliver and The Deputy Manager Donna Smith who is responsible for the staff team, clients’ welfare in general, and the essential standards of quality and safety. Staff have their own room for sleeping-in. Clients are offered a key to the front door and their own room. Safes and individual lockable cabinets are provided for valuables and the safe storage of medicines in each room.

ACTIVITIES AND LIFESTYLE
Covid 19 has had a huge effect within the care sector. We maintain our activities and lifestyle to the best of our ability through this period of time, following all government and Public Health England guidelines.
During the Coronavirus pandemic we will be keeping in continuous contact with the clients’ relatives to reassure them of the ways in which we are keeping the clients safe and stimulated. We will also be keeping families up to date with the ways in which they can visit their relative and the changing health and safety protocols we need to put in place when they do so.
Our home is family orientated and focuses on activities that involve
families and friends of the clients such as BBQs, pool parties and at the moment outdoor gatherings.
The staff concentrate on each individual’s personal choices and
needs. Every step is monitored so that small outcomes can become big.
