OUR VILLAGE ‘FORDHAM’

The Village of Fordham has many activities and social events like fetes and a community orchard. There is a shop where you can buy newspapers, magazines, cards, food and drink. We have a fish and chip shop down the road, and two local pubs: When it is safe we will start to go back to the pubs, The Crown and The Three Horseshoes, where you can meet local people and join in village life and celebrations.

Fordham is a small village North West of Colchester, home to around 800 residents and surrounded by nearly 500 acres of woodland. The Parish Council donated to this to the Woodland Trust who planted over 300,000 trees in 2001 creating a forest environment for many to enjoy. This idyllic setting is very popular for walkers and horse riders and has many visitors who enjoy exploring the great outdoors.
